Wk 5 – “Hope is Here”

We live in a world where people can have hopelessness set as their default. I guess it’s not too surprising given the negativity in the news and what’s fed to us on every media platform. Crime, pain, loss, anger, division, and depravity take centerstage and seem to play on repeat; leaving us with a view of a world full of heaviness and devoid of hope.

It’s easy to understand why people don’t want to watch the news. This constant dose of the news can, if we’re not careful, leave us feeling hopeless. We’re called to speak hope to the hopeless and bring life to the lifeless. If we want to impact people’s lives and give people hope, if we want them to have a confident expectation that their tomorrow can be better than their today, then we need to tell people that “Hope is Here”!
