Wk 2 – “Jesus Grew & So Should You”

This is the 2nd message to the series called, “Growing the King’s Way.” Last week we discussed the “Parable of the Sower” and how important it is for us to have the right soil, meaning our hearts to be in the right condition to allow the Word of God to grow, as well as how important it is to be the right type of hearer. As a foundation, one of the most important things that we must do as followers of Christ is to grow; and to grow is to first know the truth of God’s Word and apply it to our lives. Those who hear the Word correctly… repent, believe, obey and produce.

This week’s message will focus on growing like Jesus’ example. Jesus grew in four main areas: wisdom, stature, favor with God and favor with man. We will examine each one of these through the life of Jesus and what the Bible says about them. With this, we can start the journey of growth to become more like Him and ultimately the people that God has called us to be in Him.
